# COMP8440 - FOSSD 2016 Course Schedule

|
The course will be divided into several phases:
|
|
|
* 6th April, 2016 - **Information Evening**. On Wednesday, 6th April, starting at 7pm, there will be a 1 - 1.5 hour introductory evening for all students in the CSIT N115/116 lab. The course material will be outlined, and students will be given some reading material that should be studied before the main course begins.

* 11-14th April - **Main course**. The main course will commence on Monday 11th April in the second week of the mid-semester break. All lectures and labs will be held in the CSIT N115/116 lab. There will be four intensive days. The course will run from 9am to 6pm each day (with breaks).

* 30th April, 7th and 14th May. Laboratory sessions will be offered between 2pm and 5pm on the three Saturdays following the main course, not including ANZAC day.

* Assessment period. After the main course is over, students are expected to prepare materials for assessment, which will be due by Monday, 23rd May (week 13), at 11am.
